Anita Roddick, 1943-2007
Dame Anita Roddick, the founder of the Body Shop, passed away on September 10th.
I believe that many British people of my generation will agree that she, more than any other person in British public life, made us more aware of environmental issues. When the Body Shop opened up, I thought that 'being green' was something that only hippies and Germans were serious about.
