Podle magazínu Týden je jednou ze zvláštností knihy Václava Kluse o globálním oteplování skutečnost, že nejčastěji citovaným zdrojem je autor SCI-FI Michael Crichton. Klaus také tvrdí, že jeho zájmem je ‚svoboda‘. Henry Porter je uznávaný novelista a novinář. Měli by se s Klausem setkat tváří v tvář, protože Porter strávil poslední dva roky psaním článků, které upozorňovaly na různé pokusy britské vlády omezit svobody svých občanů. Nicméně je jednoznačné, že Porter nevidí v diskuzi o globálním oteplování žádné ohrožení svobody. Tento velmi vyvážený článek zaujímá realistický pohled na hodnotu nedávných koncertů Live Earth a jasně vyjadřuje svo víru v to, že my všichni můžeme a měli bychom sehrát v boji proti klimatickým změnám svou roli, aniž bychom při tom poztráceli jakoukoliv svobodu.

According to Tyden magazine, one of the peculiarities of Vaclav Klaus' book on global warming is that the most often quoted source is a science fiction novelist,Michael Crichton. Klaus also claims that his concern is for 'freedom'. Henry Porter is an accomplished novelist and journalist. Klaus and he ought to see eye to eye, as Porter has spent most of the last two years writing articles warning of various attempts by the British Government to limit the freedoms of its citizens. Porter however clearly does not see the discussion about global warming as a threat to freedom. This well balanced article takes a realistic view about the value of the recent Live Earth concerts, making it clear that he beileves we all can and should play our part to fight against climate change without giving up any important freedoms.
